Agent accounts and spend control
FLOP is an account-based send-and-receive chain. That gives agents the primitives to operate safely at scale rather than holding a bare key and hoping.
What an agent account can do
- Pre-set spend limits, so an agent cannot exceed a budget it was given.
- Delegated bounded authority via proxies — hand another party a capability, not the account.
- Multisig, timelock or vesting, and multi-party escrow pools.
- Lock stake in community duration-lock tiers to earn a share of protocol rewards.
- Transfers, staking, and a declarative spend-condition layer.
Why it matters for an agent
An agent that buys compute continuously needs the spending boundary enforced by the chain rather than by its own good behaviour. Spend limits and proxies put that boundary on-chain, where a bug in the agent cannot exceed it.
Escrow is the other half: a session's payment sits in escrow against the proof, and an upheld fraud verdict refunds the agent.
